Nine Houses Project
Project location: Oxfordshire, UK
Client: Private Client
Size: 1500m²
Estimated contract value: £2,100,000
Timescale: Target completion in December 2009
Currently at the pre-planning stage this proposal for nine houses in Oxfordshire will re-interpret the vernacular architecture of the area to create a modern new community in an ancient village. A biomass central heat and power plant, photovoltaic cells and an efficient water strategy will ensure the scheme achieves a level five rating under the Code for Sustainable Housing. The scheme will be a beacon for design excellence in contemporary housing design.
