On an inlet of the River Fowey in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this project will provide new teaching facilities and holiday accommodation for Fowey Sailing School. These will be converted from an existing agricultural building through the insertion of new courtyard spaces, reducing the apparent bulk of the building and allowing an intimacy between the internal and external spaces. The project is a prototypical architectural strategy for converting redundant agricultural buildings to positive local uses.
