This proposal is the regeneration of a disused watercress farm, converting it to a sustainable low-energy holiday complex. Existing areas of the farm are re-built, re-used or re-configured to accommodate this new use. The existing storage barns will be re-built and refurbished to provide five 'eco-lodges' and four holiday apartments with a freshwater swimming pool replenished from the redundant watercress beds. The existing farmhouses will be refurbished to improve their sustainability and a small worker's cottage will be converted to an 'off-grid' retreat. A communal ground source heat pump linked to the watercress bed will supply the site's energy needs.
